Acupuncture
Acupuncture stimulates the body’s innate healing response by targeting points along meridians corresponding to segments of the spinal cord and nerves. Needle insertion stimulates these nerves, activating reflex arcs and modulating nerve signals. This prompts the release of neurochemicals like endorphins, reducing pain and promoting healing. Improved blood flow and localized effects enhance the healing process in the targeted areas.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy involves placing glass or silicone cups on the skin using heat or negative pressure to exert suction on the underlying tissue, muscles, and fascia. By gently pulling the muscles and fascia upwards, it draws toxins to the surface of the skin where the immune system is able to eliminate them more successfully. Cupping is often used to help with respiratory health and muscle tightness. It reduces pain and inflammation and restores balance in the energy flow.
GUA SHA
Gua Sha is a healing technique involving the scraping of the skin with a smooth-edged tool to improve circulation. The process creates light bruising, which releases blocked energy and promotes healing. By increasing blood flow to the affected area, gua sha helps reduce inflammation and relieve muscle tension. The technique is often used to treat pain, respiratory issues, and improve overall well-being.
moxibustion
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese therapy that involves burning dried mugwort (moxa) or using an electric moxa tool near or on specific acupuncture points on the body. The low heat generated by the burning moxa stimulates these points, enhancing the flow of Qi and improving blood circulation. This technique is used to treat various conditions, such as pain, digestive disorders, & cold-related ailments, by promoting healing and restoring balance.
pranayama
Pranayama consists of breathing exercises and techniques rooted in yoga that regulate the breath and enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Scientifically documented benefits include the reduction of stress and anxiety, improved focus and concentration, and support of cardiovascular health. Studies show that pranayama can lower cortisol levels, increase heart rate variability, and promote relaxation and recovery by activating the parasympathetic nervous system.
mesotherapy
In mesotherapy, multiple tiny injections of a combination of low-dose pharmaceuticals, vitamins, etc. are injected into the mesodermal layer of tissue under the skin with very thin needles. This therapy form contains elements from acupuncture and neural therapy, and is often applied in the body’s reflex zones. Numerous kinds of pain-conditions (musculoskeletal pain, headaches etc.), sports injuries and aesthetic issues can be treated.
